[Developers] Removal of "silent" player capability

There is an undocumented (and largely untested) capability in SC to
define a player as "silent". The intention was to allow a player to be
used as a secondary user-interface device in a sync-group, without it
or SC actually having to go to the bother of streaming audio and
maintaining synchronization.

I plan to rip out all the associated code and drop it in the bit
bucket. Scream now if you feel that it is essential to retain this
capability.
