[SlimDevices: Beta] Do custom IR maps require a server restart?

I was just playing around with custom IR map files and although I can
select a new one as soon as I create it in the IR folder, it appears to
have no effect unless the server is restarted.

It does seem that I can go from a custom map to the default map and
that works, but not the other way 'round.

Is that the expected behavior?  I can't find anything mentioning this
in the documentation or in a forum search.
