[SlimDevices: Beta] SlimServer 7 sync updates

I'd love the FW82 and synch changes to get pushed back into the 6.5.5
release.

Without seeming ungrateful, it's what I plan to remain on for some
time.

7.0 seems to have been in development for quite a while so most of the
useful fixes ported back into 6.5.x

While 7.0 might be more useful for beginners, the new UI seems very
sluggish :-(

I must try it again with the Firebug profiling option enabled to see
what exactly takes so long, but I'm guessing the sheer amount of perl
in Slim.exe is using too much memory on my system resulting in a lot of
swapping.

Slim.exe is now around 100mb mark and is the largest memory consumer on
my system apart from Firefox. MySQLD.exe uses about 10mb.

That a lot of memory on a machine with 1Gb running WinXP.
