[SlimDevices: Beta] Latest nightly wont start

Hi everybody,
I try to run Slimserver 7 on a Debian Installation. It ran quite well
till some days ago.

It bails with the following error:
Can't call method "log" on an undefined value at
/usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/Log/Log4perl/Appender.pm line 189.

I have not been able to fix this. Log4perl is installed via apt and via
CPAN...
