[SlimDevices: Beta] Time for 7.0?

Wow, all I was trying to point out was that it was taking a very long
time in between betas. I guess 7.0 will be radically different from
previous versions.

In regards to the "contemporary" stages of software development process
it is a bit different from my early programming days.

I'm spent a lot of time lying on the floor next to a print out looking
for syntax errors that would not be even identified by the loader.
(assuming that all my JOB cards were not miss-read by the card reader
and all my JOB cards were in the correct location in the deck of punch
cards)... It took a while to get past the loader errors and to get to
the point where one of the JOB cards called the compiler... I forgot
what we called this stage of the process, but it was no where near
Alpha.
