[SlimDevices: Beta] Slimserver 6.5.1 won't start

Just tried upgrading from 6.5.0 to 6.5.1 and can only get slimserver to
start when logged in with admin priviliges. 

Error log shows the following:

'The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following
information is part of the event: C:\Program
Files\SlimServer\server\Cache\my.cnf: Permission denied at
/PerlApp/Slim/Utils/MySQLHelper.pm line 178.'

I have seen some discussion that Norton could be responsible, but I am
unable to configure Norton to stop it scanning .myi and .myd files (I
am using a Norton Corporate Edition).
