At the time, this seemed to be backburnered for a couple of reasons.

Mainly, there wasn't a SQL back end database, so there wasn't a good
mechanism that could generate filtered views of the scanned music.  We 
have that now.

Also, adding this feature will be a highly impactful change.  Pretty 
much every query, driving every user interface would be affected.

Personally, I think it is feature well worth having.  It would solve 
roommate and family issues, and provide an effective way to segment even 
a single library (classical/rock, spoken word/music, kids/teens/adult, etc.)
