I generally use SQLyog to play with MySQL databases like that used by
SlimServer.

Stop SlimServer first.  Then once you connect SQLyog to your database
server, it's just a matter of right-clicking on the 'slimserver'
database and selecting 'Empty Database...'.  When you restart
SlimServer it will automatically recreate the database, then begin
scanning your library.
