The problem is something to do with the scanner not populating
Contributors.namesort correctly.

I guess it's back to the code for me again.  I'm not a Perl person
either, but I've done so much coding in so many environments that I
find a lot of things end up looking like Yet Another Programming
Language to me.  I'll beat my head against that wall for a bit and see
if anything jumps out at me.
