tricky. It's easier to just have the app bind to "high" ports and never
have a single line of code run with special privileges.

Speaking of ports, especially considering the trouble Windows users
have had with WMP 11 and port 9000, is Logitech going to pursue
official IANA blessing for an alternate port?
