I've set my virus scanner to 

A) ignore .MYI & MYD files
B) not scan the temp directory at all

And I still get these crashes occasionally.

Although I don't 100% trust the virus scanner (Symantec) to have
actually respected my wishes...

I'm going to uninstall it soon as work have discontinued support for it
and my virus def files are quite out of date!
