Please refer to these test tracks:

* lame 3.96.1 encoded mp3s:

I'm not submitting a bug yet because I'm not confident the problem is
with the firmware.

The odd thing is that I hear a glitch between the mp3 test tracks
everywhere I play them: my iPod, foobar2000, squeezebox. But they were
encoded with lame 3.96.1, so there should be no gap/glitch via of these
playback mechanisms, right?

When I play flac and oggVorbis version of these same test tracks I hear
no glitch at all, only with the mp3's.

On the other hand, I tried playing a few lame encoded live tracks
(which have continuous crowd noise between tracks) and heard no
glitch/gap.

So I'm confused as to why my test tracks play back with a glitch.

Any ideas?
