Just resurrecting this.  I've got the same/similar problem, it goes like
this:-

I have some FLAC's created from 48/24 WAVs.  If I play them as WAVs, no
problem at all; if I play the FLACs using the inbuilt support for FLAC
they also play no problem, however if I want to stream the FLACs as WAV
(so let the server decompress on the fly) then I get white noise.

I'm on SS 6.5 with firmware 64 - does this suggest more of a SS
software issue, i.e the wrong parameters are somehow being passed to
flac.exe?

I prefer to stream raw WAV as to me it sounds better.
