Try any Soma FM stream, they are always solid. (Picks -> By Webcaster)

 From your report of display corruption I wanted to rule out the  
wireless.. you're 2 feet away, why not hook up a cable?  If you still  
get that display problem you should contact Support.

No, you may have a hardware problem though.
