I have started to experience something similar to this problem again.

I have set the alarm to play random tracks every morning from 7:15.  I frequently wake up an hour later to hear that the music is not playing.  It's stopping on a track transition, but it's totally random.  The track progress bar shows 0%, so I believe it finishes playing the previous track, shows the details for the next track, but doesn't start playback.

If I stop and play the track it plays fine.

I have a pretty good wireless network signal.  I can play FLAC files with no problems.  I have only noticed the problem when playing random tracks (I've seen it fail transiting between mp3 tracks) from the alarm timer.
