I accept that this is a good technical solution to generate pure tags
for my music. I just wonder if SLIMSERVER should take a more liberal
view of tags in MP3 files.

That is collect all tags both V1 and V2 and build song record using
both rarther than ignoring V1 tags if V2 exist.
