It would be worth a look in the logs to see if there's anything
interesting there.  Also, does it only lock up while playing?  Always
30 seconds after hitting 'play'?  Any kind of information like that
might be useful.

Of course, performing a factory reset (holding "+") while powering back
on can clear up some strange problems.  Also, reloading the firmware
from the same image by holding down "brightness".

And if you're still having this issue, feel free to file a bug to give
users and me a centralized place to troubleshoot this issue!
