Despite the DAC difference the SQ of the SBR and Classic is very
similar, and very high (as good as or better than pretty much any
consumer CD player). I don't know much about the Azur but from a quick
look I'd assume it doesn't have a true analogue passthrough function,
in which case the DAC in the source doesn't matter as the amp will do a
further ADC/DAC step inside - you may as well use a digital link in this
case. IMHO the Transporter would be a waste in such a situation - much
better to spend the money on upgrading the amp. 

You may want to get other opinions in the audiophile forum, but beware
the trolls :)
