[SlimDevices: Beginners] recording play count in itunes

Is this also an issue in Windows Media Player?
I also use Play Count in a number of contexts as a clear indication of
my personal preferences, so would like some assurance that (now I've
moved to mainly listening using Duet) play count is maintained.
