[SlimDevices: Beginners] Can a Squeezebox Receiver be controlled with an infra-red remote control?

What would make a lot more sense is a hook to use the remote with other
devices, with some kind of computer and IR port interfaces.  I doubt
such a system could save you money, though, if it existed.  While Slim
Devices' parent company Logitech is selling one remote to rule them
all, SD just fired a major salvo to thwart that effort.

Personally I think I'll wait on both Duet and any kind of expensive
universal remote (or at least Harmony) until some kind of sensible
integration is worked out.
