Hi TooSteep,
Welcome to the forum.
Squeezebox is not strictly a computer device, therefore will not show
in the device manager.
However there is a way to emulate the SB/TP on your machine.
If you do not have an SBx/TP, you can use the software that drives
these devices as if you have the hardware installed.
It's called Softsqueeze and is included with the SB/TP software
package.
Simply install Squeezecenter and use the included application
"Softsqueeze"
With Softsqueeze you can test drive the solution using your existing
computer hardware.
Then, if you decide that the software works for you, buy a Logitech
Streaming Media Systems Slim Device (SB/TP) and set-up your audio
system with it.
Then, within the software application, you can stream sound device
output into your SB/TP for play on your home audio system by using the
plugin listed above.
