[SlimDevices: Beginners] external hard drive?? help

Hi, i have a squeezebox 3 that is hooked up wirelessy to my p.c. i have
all my music stored on i tunes and it works fine, but i have to leave
my pc running to stream the music.
i understand that you can run slim server on an external drive, and
keep the music on there so as the pc does not have to be running to
stream the music. if that is the case, what sort of external drive do i
need and is it easy to set up, and do any of the external drives that
are suitable connect wirelessy or do they need to be hard wire to the
router?
