Sorry to hear this. I think from your posts that their is one
conclusion that needs to be deleted. Just because you are not having
problems with any other WiFi device doesn't mean that your network is
FINE. There could still be IP or DHCP issues or anti-virus/firewall
issues.
Devices that just talk over the WiFi are very simple installs. They see
the WiFI, connect, use the Internet or pull data off a Server. Most of
these devices are intellegent IE laptops, PCs, Servers. The SB3 and
Duet are dumb boxes. They need a connection and also depend on a
PC/Server running to except commands and tell them what to do. This
adds another layer that can have no communication issues. The Duet adds
to this because the Controller has to talk to the server to talk to the
Receiver. If any of these devices has either an inbound or outbound
path blocked by firewall or incorrect DHCP or IP, then it will not
work.
Ones other WiFi devices don't need to speak to a SqueezeCenter program
that is excepting specific IP address range to be assigned to specific
network devices. Most of these IP issues involve two devices both using
X.X.X.101 so that they can't find each other much less talk to each
other.
As I said, if it works wired, then it is either bad WiFi cards (fairly
unlikely), but most likely a network config issue. I am not saying you
have to delete all you other wifi connections and reinstall all your
router software. I am saying that the network issue is specific to the
Controller, Receiver, and IP address of the location of SqueezeCenter.
Either change/limit your DHCP settings or go with assigned IP
addresses. If using DHCP, just turning everything off and being careful
about the order in which one turns everything back on could solve the
problem. I would be willing to bet that the issue is DHCP or an IP
confict.
The main thing to remember is that just because other WiFi devices work
doesn't mean that one doesn't have a WLAN Network issue. And again for
anybody on the Forum to possibly help, we need all your network info.
By this I mean, all the hardware (make/model number), OS, version of
SC, firmware of SBC and SBR, and the IP addresses of the devices on the
Network.
And as always, call Tech Support.
