[SlimDevices: Beginners] Before I buy...

Hello,

My wife asked me a few weeks ago "Can you make it so that I can listen
to the computer in the kitchen?". I say "Maybe" and start planning away
in my mind. Visions of running speaker wire from the PC to the kitchen
via the attic... then I stop and decide to do some research. First
finding Windows "Media Center Extenders"... couldn't find any
audio-only ones. Finally heard mention of a squeezebox and came here.

SO, what my wife really wants is to listen to a program called PalTalk
while she cooks/cleans/"whatever else a houswife does" from the kitchen
or living room. I know a Sqeezebox can handle mp3's and such, but can
you listen to audio coming Paltalk or other programs? And can you just
tell it to stream whatever would ordinarily go to the PC speakers?
