why some folks feel they have to answer the question with a mean remark,
but I'll try to be a little more understanding.

Having had many issues with my first Squeezebox I can definetly
understand the type of frustration that leads to the comment from the
OP. There are loads of threads that start this way and that should be
a clue to Logitech that maybe something ismissing.

That said, now that you have the DUET, if you want to keep it and like
what it does enough to work through the issues, here's what I might
reccomend.

Call tech support and get them to talk you through setting it up. If
you can use ethernet to connect the receiver. It just eliminates the
whole wireless issue. Almost any router on earth will work via
ethernet, but a lot of problems are to be found running certain routers
wirelessly.

Make sure that SqueezeCenter is loaded on a healthy, capable machine
and that your firewall and virus protection will allow everything to
work. Again tech support can talk you through that.

Finally, don't mess with any of the third party plug-ins for the time
being. Get comfortable with the basic SB before you throw an unknown
in there.

Now, all of that said, I've contacted tech support three times overall.
Twice, the experience wasn't very good. The last time it was much
better. Either way be ready to spend some significant time on the
phone just in case.

One final thought. Don't get caught up in having the latest upgrades.
If everything is working fine wait for a while before worrying about the
latest firmware and always, always have a backup before you do.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Howard
