[SlimDevices: Beginners] SB3 Menus slowed right down

I saw on another thread the guy needed to be logged into squeezentwork
to get the update to work but i've never registered and can't get the
pin from the player as it is just stuck on the upgrade screen.

Can i remove the squeezcentre software and then put an folder version
on ?

Any other solutions ?
