Something odd there: any change to your library should be recognised by
doing a rescan, looking for new and changed files. The usual problem is
that many taggers helpfully *don't* change the file modified time so
the scanner isn't told anything has changed. Look to see if your
tagger has an option here.

In SC7 whle you are looking at the album list, look in the bottom left
corner of the window (should be just above the help icon): theres an
icon there for "albumview options", pick the one you want.
There isn't a similar option for Genre at least on my version, so I
don't know whats going on there, mine is strictly alphabetical....
