Thanks, I'm Time-Challenged ATM but will try to get some time for fixing
my DS-106 (and other computer-related stuff) in the near future.

I'm just about only interested in running ever-so-plain SlimServer with
Custom Browser, Favourites & Date/Time Screen Saver...

I worked with Unix computers (quite) some years ago, but I guess I
haven't forgotten everything. There's no possibility in doing a "Backup
Everything" before starting to mess around - or at least start all over
with Synology firmware update, adding SSODS...?
